edify Boards
The edify Board lets you display and annotate any of your 2D media. You can create a board via "+Board" button in the "Objects" tab on the "Lectern" panel, or select 2D media from the same tab to add to the board direct. create If you missed the guide on the lectern panel, you can find it here.
The board itself is controlled through the "Options" button, top left.
Use the whiteboard tools to write or draw on the board. You can also annotate your own uploaded content from images to PDFs. A tray will appear along the bottom side of the board when you toggle "Tools". You can pick up 5 coloured pens with your cursor or VR controller. You can adjust the position of the pen using the up, down, left and right buttons on your controller.
Use the eraser to remove small mistakes or if you'd like to start again, select the "Clear" button. To record your work, hit "Save".
To open a particular piece of media, select the "Open File" button. Here, your content is organised into file types - images, PDFs, video, audio and websites. On selection, the panel will confirm whether the media is already in the lesson. To add more files, use the "Import file" button on the "Object" tab of the "Lectern" panel.
You have two options to display your media. Either "Open" the file, which will display the file directly on your current board. Or select "Pop out", which will add the media to a new board beside the existing one.
The edify boards also functions as a view from a Teams or Zoom window. Press the "Conference" button, and select whichever conference software is appropriate for you. As both Teams and Zoom have multiple windows, you can cycle through them using the arrows at the bottom.
If you need more information on how to install or prepare your Teams or Zoom software for broadcasting, check out our software installation and setup guides.
In desktop mode, you can use the "Transform" button to help you move and position the boards. You can then select between Move, Scale, and Rotate.
If you have content on your current screen that you wish to show on multiple screens, you can use the "Duplicate Screen" button, and select the appropriate screens to duplicate content to.
When you are finished with your board, select "Remove board" to completely remove it from the Lesson.
