A checklist for when your VR controllers fail to appear

I cannot see my controllers in VR mode

Controllers failing to appear is often down to hardware issues. Here's some steps you can follow to fix the issue:

  1. Restart your Lesson - press the exit button to return to the home screen, press "Existing Lessons", and open your Lesson again.
  2. Restart edify - press the exit button on the home screen, run edify again, and navigate back to your Lesson.
  3. Check the controllers are charged sufficiently - Vive controllers can be charged through their charging cable, Oculus Quest controllers will require new batteries.
  4. Restart your headset - this will depend on what headset you are using. For Vive, turn your link box off and on again with the power button. For Oculus Quests, hold the power button for a few seconds, then select "Restart headset" from the menu that appears in the headset (you can use the volume button as an alternative select button).

If the issue remains persistent, check that the issue is edify specific. Try replicate the issue in the default headset environment or other apps.
