How can Immersive Learning Engage a new Generation of AEC Professional?

Both educational institutions and enterprise learning teams are adopting new educational technology at an increasing pace, and the remote and blended learning challenges we have all experienced in recent months have only fueled this uptake in innovative new teaching formats.

In this context, edify provides  a  training platform using VR that  can  help level-up  learning for industry verticals which are very well suited to immersive learning - like, for example, AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction).  How?  Through  flexible  virtual  learning environment and tools that can be used by educators  and students in further, higher, and professional skills development  settings.

In case you missed it, check out this special article by Martyn Day in AEC Magazine , which  goes into some depth on the potential of immersive learning for AEC, explores  how  edify can  be used to address the skills gap in the industry, and provides an overview of its features from the point of view of AEC users - including immersive 3D environments that will enable learners to experience their work first-hand and learn from teachers who are experts in the field.

Adopting immersive and blended learning may be challenging for the AEC industry, but the benefits to both educators and learners are much better understood than they were in previous years when the technologies involved were much newer. Remote and hybrid working patterns and the draw-down in travel for work and learning we have all experiences in recent months mean platforms like edify can offer substantial value in making the adoption of immersive learning as straightforward (and fun!) as possible.
